I hadn’t heard about Yahoo planning to terminate MyBlogLog in January.

I really hope they don’t as I think it is a great social platform for bloggers, and as I’ve said in a previous post, it has brought me some fairly targeted traffic.

That’s great to hear you are now working on your own ebook, and yes feel free to ask my advice, and I’ll help you as best as I can.

Traffic is always a great subject. There is no end to writing about it especially since so many things keep on changing.

Have you heard about MyBlogLog possibly being terminated by Yahoo in January?

Yahoo seems to be in the habit of purchasing good companies and running them into the ground.

Yahoo Answers as you point out is a good way to get traffic although I’ve only used it two or three times.

I’m working on my new e-book now and it will have some materials on traffic in it but it’s focused overall on list building.

I may need your advise when I get to the finishing touches since you’ve already went through all that.

Getting traffic from social bookmarkeing isn’t something I have researched enough yet.

What I would suggest is that you join 1 or 2 of the big social bookmarking sites like Digg or StumbleUpon, and get involved in the community there and add some friends.

For the most part I’ve only been using social bookmarking to help with SEO, and to build backlinks. But a few weeks back I noticed a huge amount of traffic from StumbleUpon coming to one of my Alexa Rank posts, someone must of liked it and decided to stumble it and they must have had a big following or something.

So it seems the more people you befriend on these sites, the more people will pay attention to what you bookmark.

I’m good thanks, just a bit busy.

I’ve not really submitted my blog to that many RSS Feed directories yet, probably about 20 or so…

I have certainly noticed it gives me some extra results and backlinks in the search engines, so I’d definitely say it’s worth while doing, and I’m going to submit my site to as many as I can in the new year.

I plan to spend about 20 mins per week doing that for the first quarter of next year, and see what it brings.
