Announcing: Traffic Guide For Newbies !!
Hello there!!
After many weeks slaving away at my keyboard I have finally finished writing my first ebook… Yay!!
Well I say finished, there is still some grammar and spelling mistakes to correct, but I feel confident enough now to announce the release date, which is….
*drum roll*
Traffic Guide For Newbies goes live on Monday 23rd November 2009
If you would like to receive a FREE copy, then please fill out the form below. I will then send you a copy before I officially release it here on my blog.

I decided to purchase the domain name for it as well, and luckily for me the .com version was available.
It was very lucky really as I’d already had the cover graphics made.

You’ll also notice that Aweber have done something different to their system lately, the old opt-in webforms have gone! That was the only sort of webform I could get. Maybe there’s an option that allows you to change it to the old standard format, but I couldn’t see any option for it?… Maybe it was because I’m tired though?
Anyway… That’s it from me for now, I’ve got a lot of work to do over the next few days. There’s the corrections to make as I said, but I also have the squeeze page and thank you page to make yet. I also have other things I need to get done in-between that too.
So look out for the release of this in my next post on Monday, or sign-up above and have your copy sent directly to your inbox before I release it.
Take care everyone!
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Congratulations!
I will be signing up to get a copy! I need to start learning about the whole traffic thing!
I am getting there slowly! My computer decided to get a bit sick with viruses so it had to go to the computer doctors to get fixed! It is better now.
I have a few more of the JT Training posts coming up, I got cheeky the other day and wrote a few and learnt how to schedule them!
Hope all is going great! See you back here soon!
Jacinta
Hi Jacinta,
Thanks, I’ve just sent the email out so it should be with you shortly, if not already!
I’m glad to see hear your computer is now better.
And I’ll be over to check out some more of your training posts soon!
Take care and thanks for stopping by.
Paul.
Hi Paul,
Do you mean you can only get the Javascript aWeber form and not the HTML one?
If you do then there a ‘Raw HTML Version’ link at the top to the right of ‘Javascript Snippet’
Thanks

Hi Keith,
I meant how the actual opt-in form looks, HTML and Javascript was available.
Maybe the old style op-in forms are still there, and I just got confused?.. I’ll have to have a look.
Thanks for stopping by,
Paul.
Hi Paul,
I just downloaded your ebook and was very impressed with it – well done!
You got the balance between your own personal story, links to some of your blog posts and rock solid traffic content absolutely spot on.
Having met you in person I know you are a genuine guy who wants to succeed and help people along with way but this also shines through in your ebook. You come across as a credible figure but also someone who is approachable and I don’t think that is easy to achieve.
I think this ebook will do very well and you will get a lot of positive feedback from it.
I look forward to seeing what else you come up with, this is just the beginning my friend!

Thanks for your comments, and I look forward to more feedback when you’ve had chance to read it through properly.

Thanks for stopping by,

Paul-
I just downloaded your new ebook and read all 60 pages. It is well organized, and it’s great you have resource links throughout.
Since I am new at this, I will be referring to it often for sure.

Hi Evan,
Thanks for the feedback mate, I’m glad you liked it!
I hope you find the information useful!

Hi Paul,
I’ve just finished reading my copy of your eBook and I have to say, you’ve done a fantastic job my friend – seriously, well done!
You’ve really have laid it all on the table for your subscribers and the amount of valuable content you’ve included in this report is mind blowing!
It’s well structured, well written and full of fantastic resources that will without doubt help many people start generating traffic instantly.
Some of the Gurus are charging a fortune for similar information, and you’re giving it away and holding nothing back… that’s very refreshing in the IM world!
As David Walker mentioned in his comments above, it’s a reflection of what a genuine, helpful guy you are and it’ll stand you in good stead for big things and big profits in the near future!
Speak soon,
Steve
P.S. Almost forgot to say, a big thank you for the mention in the eBook – I owe you one mate!

Paul,
I went through the first ten pages of your e-book yesterday. That was a fine piece of writing! Now I’m ready to learn from the rest of it, just as you suggest, starting with three techniques until I get good at them.
Thank you for a great resource,
Jose

Hi Jose,
Thanks for popping back over here to give me some feedback. I’m glad you like what you’ve read so far, and I’m sure it will help you generate more traffic to your websites.
That’s right Jose, concentrate on three techniques until you master them, then move on and master more techniques and add them into the mix!
Take care,
Paul
Hey Paul,
I just downloaded and skimmed about 20 pages. Looks really good
but I’ll have to finish it later. I will say this, it appears to
be very well written and I didn’t find any spelling or grammatical errors(thanks to your mum).
As far as the Aweber optin forms go I think you must have been really tired Paul. lol! You’re right, the old simple form is gone but has been replaced by many. Maybe 40 or so, as I didn’t count them.
You have many templates you can pick from now instead of just the plain old form. I think they have made it ten times better. You can still use the “Raw HTML Version” code which I recommend. You can take that optin form you made here and just cut and paste it into Notepad and make all the changes you want. You can make it look exactly like the old one. Of course you have to be some what familiar with HTML and style sheets. It’s really not that hard.
Just scroll down until you find code that looks similar to this.
#af-form-1392214861 {background-color:#FFFFFF; border-color:#FF0000; border-width:1px; border-style:solid; }
Experiment with changing the background-color:#FFFFFF; To change the color change #FFFFFF to #FF0000. This will change the background of your optin box to red. An easy way to get the color codes is to go to http://www.colorpicker.com/ and pick the color you want then copy the 6 digit Hex number in the text box and paste that into you optin form code. Of course there’s a lot more to this whole thing than this but I thought I’d just point out how to change your background color.
If you or anyone else needs any help with this just let me know.
Later,
Jeff Sargent
Jeff Sargent´s last blog ..Awarding One Way Backlinks For Blog Comments
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your comments on my book, and yes my mum did a good job, I’ll have to add a mention in there to say thanks to her in an updated version.
Also, thanks for the info on the new Aweber opt-in form. I do like the way they are now, and I did realize there was a lot of templates. But I just thought they would have left an option in there for the old style form too, for those who aren’t familiar with HTML.
I’ll have to follow your instructions and strip it down some, as I think that big long box form will take up too much space in the blog side bar… I’ve only used the Java script versions up to now.
I’ll be sure to give you a shout if I get stuck, thanks.
Paul
I am thinking of purchasing in the future but I am still new to blogging and I feel I have some kinks to work out first in my writing. But I will def follow and bookmark this.
