My Thoughts on Lee McIntyre’s Profit Max Workshop
It has now been a week exactly since I set off to attend Lee McIntyre’s Profit Max Workshop in Manchester. So you’re probably wondering why I haven’t posted until now about it?
Well the reason is this, the day after the workshop finished which was last Sunday, I came down with a bad throat infection. So I’ve been coughing and spluttering all week, and well, I still am a little bit now. But at least I now feel well enough to make this post.
Right so what did I think of it all?
Well first of all whether you’ve been to a seminar/workshop before or not, most of you will know that they are usually pitch fests. So let me tell you now that Lee’s workshops are completely the opposite! Not once over the whole 2 days were we pitched to, and the only things for sale were the odd few DVD’s at the back of the room which were returns that had been opened. Obviously they were unable to be resold to normal customers, so Lee was offering them us for a discounted price.
The information Lee shared with us was amazing, he was showing us exactly how he had built his business to the level it is at now. And if you don’t already know Lee makes around 100k a month!
Here’s a few things for you to think about, the following points have come from my notes that I took over the 2 days.
- Use anger to motivate yourself
- Are you doing things too slow? — All successful people do things fast!
- Are you trying to make everything too perfect? — There will always be room for improvement, just make sure your content is helpful, and get it out there.
- Your focus should be on creating content and products — And in turn content and products will help build your list (business)
- Stop thinking about doing things and just take action!
- Believe in yourself and tell yourself you are going to do this.
- Don’t market to the many, market to the few. — i.e. a specific niche/group of people.
- Segment your list into buyers and prospects.
- Over deliver and be personal with your customers and affiliates.
And here is a basic overveiw of Lee’s business:
- Killer Squeeze Page >
- Immediate Low priced but High Value offer (after prospect opts-in) >
- Upsell -a related higher priced offer that compliments the original purchase (if prospect purchased) keep offering low priced offer (if prospect didn’t buy) >
- Multiple backend sales – if they buy the previous upsell, offer your next higher priced product and so on.
I learnt so much in those 2 days and what I’ve shared here is only scratching the surface, if you want to find out about everything Lee talked about there will be a DVD box set out after Lee has finished his workshop tour.
But if I were you I would get down to his next workshop, it’s in Newcastle in January. Just go and get on Lee’s email list and I’m sure he’ll let you know about it soon.
As you can probably tell I was extremely impressed with Lee’s workshop and I’m sure you will be too, if you manage to get to his next one, or if you buy the DVD’s?
Lee even gave us 2 unrelated free DVD’s at the end, and a certificate. It was was like a graduation Ceremony. Lee called our names out one by one to present us with our certificate and DVD’s, and also to shake our hand.
I’ve not watched the DVD’s yet but I think they’re probably worth the price of the workshop alone.
All in all it was a great 2 days, and I’m pretty sure I will remember the occasion for a long time to come. And I’m very glad that I took action and just went for it. Sure I had a few problems with social anxiety, but I met some really good people and surprised myself as to what I was capable of if I just put my mind to it.
Thanks for reading, please share your thoughts with me by leaving a comment.
Paul.
P.S
Don’t take my word for it, go and check out this video of everyone at Lee’s workshop (including me) saying a few words on what they thought of it.

Hi Rob,
Yeah it was a great 2 days, glad you like my takeaways from the seminar. But like I said that really is just scratching the surface, I have pages and pages of notes.
It’s going to be fun putting it all into action.
I’m not sure if he will be going to North America, I know he once spoke in Atlanta at someone elses event. In fact that was the first time he ever spoke.
Thanks for visitng, Rob.

Hey Paul,

Just a shame I couldn’t get there, it would have been cool to meet ya
There is always another time, I will try to get to one of Lee’s seminars in the near future!
Take care mate,

Hi Paul,
Yeah it was a great weekend and I learnt a lot from it.
I’m sure we’ll get to meet at some point, and if you are going to go to another seminar then I would definitely make it one of Lee’s.
Thanks for the comment.
Paul.
Hey Paul,
First off, well done for getting out there and doing it, it must have been tough for you (not to much anxiety I hope).
Everyone always talks of an offer then a downsell looks like Lee does it the other way round with an offer then an upsell.
I might have to try and work that in some way.
Great notes (send me the rest of them)
James
By the way replied to your comment, you might want to read it then shoot me an email bud.

Hi James,
No there wasn’t too much anxiety, but I won’t lie I did find it hard at times.
Yeah I think Lee does things a bit differently with his offers, he hits them with an offer, and then an upsell if they buy it. If they don’t buy the offer he just keeps offering it until they do buy it. If they don’t buy it after a while, you can think about changing the offer.
I’ll pop over to your blog shortly and read the reply, I’ve got to go and grab some food right now.
Paul.

Hi Paul,
What a weekend it was hey?! I’m feeling a lot more focused on what I need to do over the coming weeks.
Aside from the great content, it was great to meet with you and so many other like minded people…
Like you, this was my first live event and I was also well outside my comfort zone at times, but it was well worth it
Anyway, great post and let’s start taking action now!… I’ll be following your progress very closely my friend

Hey Paul
Good summary – I missed this one as I’ve been off the radar myself with bugs and trying to keep up with my day job etc.
Sounds like its worth a trip up to Newcastle in Jan

Hi Peter,
Sorry to hear you’ve been ill too, sounds like you’re feeling a bit better now though, and are back on track?
I’d say it’s definitely worth the trip up to Newcastle in January for sure! I don’t think I’ll be going on this next one, but I highly recommend it to anyone else.
Thanks for visiting and take care.
Paul
Hi Paul,
Good summary of the event. I’ll read it again to glean some points out of it.
I wish I could have been there to meet you and all the other guys.
When you get through the DVDs I’d be interested to know what is on them.
Maybe I’ll get them then as a taste of what it was really like.

Hi Vance,
Thanks for your comments, I will perhaps write up a summary of one of the DVD’s when I have watched it.
Only one of the DVD’s is by Lee McIntyre, it’s of one of his workshops that he did in London in Jan 2009, It’s called Internet Automation Plan. the other DVD he gave us is by Terry Dean, and that’s all about how to make money with videos.
Take care,
Paul.
Hey Paul
Was a great workshop eh !
Hopefully see you at more now my man, there always good fun
Speak soon
Dean
Hey Dean,
It was good to meet you the other weekend, and yes I had a great time, hopefully I will make it to some more in the future?
Thanks for visiting and leaving me a comment.
Paul.
Hi Paul,
Yes I am finally back online!
Looks like you had a great time at the seminar. So do you have the seminar bug yet!
I like the comment about taking action! I have learnt that even if it is only 10 minutes a day it is the momentum that counts!
See you back here soon!

Hi Jacinta,
It’s good to see your back in action again after your computer virus problem.
I’m not quite sure I’ve got the seminar bug yet, I found it all a bit tiring and wasn’t keen on the early starts. But I really enjoyed the event after I’d got over getting up so early. I found the second day better as I had more sleep after the first day.
The networking was good and I met a lot of great people, and I exchanged email addresses with a few people.
I’d definitely go to another one as long as it wasn’t too far to travel.
Thanks for stopping by,
Paul.
Hey Paul,
Sounds like it was a great workshop Lee had. It seems like most of the workshops are in the UK and not many in the US. I’m going to have to wait until I make a lot more money so I can join you guys across the pond in the UK.
I’m not sure where but I watched a video where everyone in the class introduced themselves and I saw a lot of familiar faces. Maybe I’ll get to meet you all one day.

Hi Jeff,
Yeah it was a great 2 days and I’d definitely recommend attending one of Lee’s workshops to anyone that wants to know about making money online.
The video you saw will have been on Lee’s blog I think, I was on it speaking nervously into the camera.
If was great fun though.
There’s a link to the video at the end of my post, I probably should have put the link in the middle of the post rather than at the end, I can see how you probably missed it… But ever mind I’ll remember not to put links at the end of a post next time.
Thanks for stopping by,
Paul.
Hey Paul,
Getting to one of these workshops is definitely the next step that I have to take in my business. Not only for learning what I need to know but just as a chance to meet lots of the guys that I have regular contact with at the moment.
One of the keys to success is maintaining a group of people that can work together for the benefit of all and I believe we are carrying that mentality from the AJ course into the wider IM community.
Best of luck
Andy
