I just checked my Alexa ranking today and it was in the top 500k. I am currently at 454,210 and I was pretty impressed. My website traffic has doubled in the last 3 months. But had no traffic to speak of from the start of the site last Feb 08 to Jun 08. So at 8.5 months old I’d say its doing pretty well. My TOTAl site visitors is just under 50,000 and July, August and September I had between 9,000 and 12,000 visitors each month. I am already at 12,200 for this month. Any input on this? My Alexa widget is in my footer. Thanks in advance. Dave

Thanks, and sorry! I didn’t realise I had blown right by you without even saying hello!

I have to say I’m very impressed with the result, I never expected it to go down to the level I’m at now in such short time!!

It took me a little while to find the Alexa site widget too, it took me a good 5 minutes! Which is quite a long time to spend searching for something on a website. They should make it easier to find!

Glad you like the tips, I’ve yet to put them all to use myself yet! I think I need to take action on my own advice.

Hey Paul,

Man, you’ve done a great job getting your Alexa rank down. When we all started this challenge I was way ahead of you. Wait!, I just felt this rush of air. Oh, that was just you blowing right by me.

My Alexa ranking has gone down a little from 456,723 to 414,416 since Sept 22. I haven’t done anything different than before except visit more blogs and leave more comments. So if I start to do some of these great tips you have here I would expect some better results.

I installed the Alexa site widget before I made this comment. It’s something I wanted to do before and I did look for it (for about 10 seconds) but now you’ve found it for me. Thanks Paul.

These look like 10 great tips and why wouldn’t anyone not want to try them out. It’s rather obvious they are working for you.
