Do You Know The Easiest Way To Install WordPress Plugins?
Here is the video that I said I would produce in the last post. I finally go to grips with Camtasia Studio, and you know what? It’s really easy to use, after watching the great tutorial videos that camtasia provide for you that is.
So this video basically shows you how to easily search for, and install WordPress plugins from within your WordPress admin control panel. This saves you a lot of fuss and messing about with uploading it to your server with an FTP client (FTP software). I only recently discovered I could install them directly from within the control panel, I had been using FTP to upload each plugin. So as you can imagine that ws a huge waste of my time, so just in case any of you didn’t know about this, I thought I’d make this video to make you aware of this feature.
I hope you enjoyed the video, please let me know what you think as it was my first attempt at this sort of thing.
Until next time…
Paul.

Hey cool video Paul! Camtasia is an awesome program. I use it daily. This method of installing plugins is so much easier than downloading them somewhere else, uploading them to FTP, activating them, etc. WordPress loves to make things so simple.
Keep going with the videos.

Hey Paul,
Ecellent instructional video for anyone wanting to install a plugin.
Weel done – easy to follow and nice pace and delivery.
Did you use camtasia or camstudiopro?
Speak soon my friend.

Thanks for the feedback, Andrew.
I used Camtasia Studio, I tried CamStudio (free version) a few weeks ago. But the editing features weren’t really enough for what I wanted.
Don’t get me wrong though, CamStudio is a great program for the beginner, or someone on a low budget.
But I just decided in the long run, it would just be best for me to get Camtasia Studio now. Because I plan on doing quite a few videos in the future.
Thanks for visiting,
Paul.
Useful tip for someone new to WordPress. I like the vid presentation but it might be better if you don’t shake the mouse when it is pointing at what you are showing as the yellow pointer does its job well on itself.
Peter Davies´s last blog ..I’m thinking of producing a new free product – suggestions?
Hey Peter,
I agree with you on that, when I’m actually recording live, that yellow thing isn’t there.
I think it’s just habit, like when I’m reading things I always go over it with the cursor. In fact I’m always messing about, shaking my mouse around, I’ll have to remember to try & not do that for future videos.
Thanks for your feedback, it’s appreciated.
Paul.
Hey Paul
Great video!
I have always done the download and ftp etc, but will be using this method from now on

Hey Paul,
Me too, I wish I’d found this out sooner. But at least we’ll save time in the future, doing it the fast and easy way.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the comment on my blog. I have tried CamStuidio as well and found out that I much preferred Camstasia. I love doing videos with Camtasia. I think I may end up doing some sort of “How To” product as a video type ebook instead of a written one. (Gee and I thought I sucked at product development).
Keep up the good work!

Hi Gene,
A ‘how to’ video product sounds good to me, I say go for it mate! Video products make great list builders, you could make some additional more advanced videos as an upsell.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Your videos have kicked me into action to create my own.

PS Is Camtasia easy to use?
John Tanner´s last blog ..Octopus in a rock pool
Hi John,
That’s great to hear.
Yes Camtasia is pretty easy to use, it took me a little while to figure out how to edit it properly, but the videos Camtasia provide were a great help, I’ve got the hang of things now.
Thanks for visiting.
Paul.
Hey Paul,
You have just saved me a load of time now, thanks mate. I’ve always installed plugins the long winded way, download them then upload them back to my site using an FTP program. I will be using this method from now on.
Great video, Camtasia is an excellent program.
Cheers,

Great post and an informative video. I have been using the control panel to install plug-ins since I got started but must admit it was more through laziness/ignorance as I saw the option and it seemed easier than downloading and uploading again!
Just got Camtasia myself so will be getting to grips with it shortly, great start!
Speak soon

Hey Tom,
Yeah I wish I’d noticed the option sooner, we all like to be lazy though, I think it’s part of being successful. because we all know the successful Internet Marketers outsource the bulk of their work.
I look forward to your videos, Camtasia is great. I’ll come and check your blog out soon.
Paul.
Hi Paul,
What a great Idea to put up a vid on plugins. Nice one. Camtasia looks very good, I have a free trial and think I will sign up when trial is up. Pop over to my blog and say hi, leave a comment. looking at your blog you are further advanced than I am, so any comment would be appreciated.
Regards Steve.

Hey Steve,
Thanks for the comment, yes Camtasia is very good, and I’d recommend buying the full version if you can afford it.
I will drop by your blog in a moment, thanks for visiting.

Mr. P
I love it when people figure out Camtasia… I love that program…
And so to obviously do many of the top guru’s online.
Keep up the great tutorials.
Cheers,
Rob
Hey Rob,
Thanks for the comment mate, I liking Camtasia more & more all the time, especially as I can edit my normal videos with it too.
I be visiting your blog soon,
Paul.
Hi Paul,
I have just started up my own blog although have been
building websites for some time now…
Tutorial videos are great, especially ones for total
beginners, Last time i installed plugins was with FTP
due to habit, I’ll do it the easy way from now on.
Could use one on how you used camtasia to video the
process now.
Robert
Hey Robert,
Glad you found the video helpful, I’m not sure how easy it would be to record the editing process with Camtasia, using Camtasia?
But I will definitely see about giving it a try. You see it’s the editing of the video that is the main part, the recording part is a one click process. All the zooming in etc, is done later.
Thanks for the suggestion though, I will look into it. Also Camtasia do some great tutorials of how to edit and use thier software. You’ll have access to all the tutorials once you download the trial I think?
I visit your blog shortly to see what you’re up to, ok.
Paul.

It is so clean and fresh looking. I am always worried I overdo it myself, to much content you know. Your blog is just right. I would appreciate if you would pass comment on mine just to confirm I haven’t overdone it. On my blog I am doing a theme on successful internet marketers. Really like to know what you think as I am pretty new to all this layout stuff. I hope one day that I can write about your internet success. Keep up the good work
